How it works
What floor scrubbing actually does
Hard floors in commercial buildings do not get dirty evenly. Traffic drives soil into the surface itself — into the pores of sealed concrete, along the seams of vinyl tile, down into grout. Routine mopping cleans the top of that layer and leaves the rest, which is why a floor can be mopped daily and still look dull and gray after a year.
Scrubbing solves it mechanically. A machine works a cleaning solution into the floor with rotating brushes or pads, breaking the bond between the soil and the surface, then extracts the slurry so it is removed rather than redistributed. The difference shows up immediately in color and reflectivity, and it shows up over time in how long the floor lasts before it needs refinishing.
We match the pad, the solution and the machine to the floor. The wrong combination strips a finish or scratches a surface, which is the most common damage we are called in to correct after someone else has been through.
